Western Carolina University BSF Leadership 2025-2026

Katie McClellan - President

Hey friends! I'm Katie, and I am so so honored to be your BSF President. I'm Majoring in Political Science here at Western, and I'm a Sophomore. I can not express how much I love the Whee community. BSF is such a wonderful and welcoming environment, and as president, I hope to exemplify the gratitude to all members, old and new. Welcome to Baptist Student Fellowship.

Jessica Rial - Cook Team Lead

Hey, Y'all it's Jessie! I am an Alumni at Western. My concentration was in photography which has been a passion of mine since I was young, learning from my mom doing sports photos. Plus, I adore cooking and baking, always down to talk about food. My home is Nashville Tennessee, but the mountains of Cullowhee are a beautiful second home. I found BSF my Freshman year and have never looked back for it brought me a found family and a wonderful faith community. You meet people from all walks of life and grow in your faith together. I look forward to an amazing year at WCU.

Brian Koonts - Worship Leader

Hi! My name is Brian Koonts. I am a Jackson County native and a Senior in Mechanical Engineering at WCU. I have served as the BSF worship leader for three years. Also, I have been playing in local worship bands for the past seven years. I hope you will come on out to BSF on Thursday nights and join us for our worship experience.

Chloe Pope - New Student Advisor

I am a Sophomore studying History and Parks and Recreation Management. I am from North Georgia and I enjoy the fellowship and friendship.

Olivia Snyder - Social Coordinator

My major is Forensic Science with a concentration of Biology. I’m a Sophomore from a small town in North Carolina called Tyro. I enjoy the fellowship and just how welcoming everyone is.

Samantha Greene - Co-Social Networker

Hello! My name is Samantha Greene and I am from Mount Pleasant, North Carolina. I am a Junior here at WCU and a Social Sciences Education and History Double Major. I am the 2025-2026 Co-Social Networking Coordinator and I am so excited to continue doing the role I had last year. I enjoy speaking French, watching hockey, and reading a colossal amount of books. I found BSF through Valley Ballyhoo two years ago, and instantly fell in love. I have met some of my best friends here and I am looking forward to what the next year brings. I love the welcoming community and our close knit group!

Leah Sisk - Co-Social Networker

Hello! My name is Leah Sisk and I am a Senior at Western. I am currently studying Philosophy and Psychology as a double major. I enjoy BSF because of the people; they are all so sweet and wonderful. They made me feel at home from the moment I came and continue to do so.
